 Work As A Nanny or Au Pair

Do you love children? Have you dreamed of spending a year overseas?
Now while you are Young and Free.




As part of your education or while deciding what to do with your life or as a complete change, you can make it happen, by living as part of a host family for a year through JCR's Intercultural Childcare programs. You will help your host family's children and do light chores around the house in exchange for the rich experience of living with your host family as a treasured member of their family. What's more, you get paid so that you can socialise, travel, meet other young people from all over the world.

JCR Intercultural Exchange programs offers safe, secure and legal programs with full back up and support in which ever country you decide on. Choose from:
Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, USA.


Austria:


You do not have to speak German to become an aupair in Austria. Use your love of children to open a world of travel. Aupair in the "fairytale" country - beautiful, green forests, tall glaciers, amazing skiing, fine food, fine music. Step back in time to romantic Vienna and Salzburg. Quaint city living, easy access to the rest of Europe and great beer!


Belgium:


You do not have to speak Dutch or French to become an aupair in Belgium. This is the country for chocolate and beautiful hand-made lace! Brussels is a beautiful olde-world city with much to offer by way of atmosphere, interesting places to visit and great restaurants. Antwerp is a bus ride from Brussels, with wonderful art galleries, lovely shops and eating places, very historical... Ghent and Brugge are lovely cities too. There are many museums and theatres. Public transport is excellent. There are movies, restaurants, clubs and pubs. Belgium is not only a very cultured and cosmopolitan country but is also well placed for visiting other European countries.


Canada:


Canada (including French-speaking Canada) is the country of great lakes and great ice hockey! Amazing ski fields close by, music festival in Banff. Vancouver was voted one of the most livable and beautiful cities in the world. Brush up on your French in Quebec province. Montreal: fantastic public transport, first world country – excellent shopping, suburban lifestyle with so much beauty around you.


Denmark:


You do not have to speak Danish to be an aupair in Denmark. This is where Hans Christian Anderson was born – the author of wonderful fairytales including “The little mermaid”, whose statue you can see in Copenhagen. Denmark is made up of many islands and whilst Copenhagen is a first-world city it is like living in a fairy tale village. Great seafood and wonderful friendly people.


Finland:


You do not have to speak Finnish to be an au pair in Finland. This is where Santa and Mrs Claus and their elves live throughout the year making toys for Christmas. Here you will find a Sauna in every home as taking a Sauna is a way of life for the Fins. Helsinki is the capital city but there are so many other wonderful places to visit. Good and varied cuisine and wonderful peace and nature loving people await you.


France:


You do not have to speak French to be an aupair in France, the country of romance. Wine, champagne, mouth-watering cheeses and all things indulgent; fabulous fashion, historical sites. It is the heart of Europe, from the sunny Cote D’Azure in the South the soaring Alps and the valleys of Provence in the East, Dordogne in the centre and the wild Brittany and Normandy coast in the North.


Germany:


You do not have to speak German to be an aupair in Germany. A basic knowledge of the language is all that is needed in the country of Beer Fests, sausages and student life; quaint picturesque towns and villages; historical sites, bustling, efficient modern cities. Enjoy excellent transport facilities, central to other countries.


Holland:


You do not need to speak Dutch to be an aupair in Holland. Easy-going Netherlands is the home of historic figures such as Van Gogh, Rubens, Rembrandt and Anne Frank. Visit Efteling (best theme-park of the world in 2001 and 2003) in the south of the Netherlands. Because of the location of this country you can play almost any outdoor (and indoor) sport you can imagine. Holland has lovely beaches during the summer and wonderful skating on frozen rivers in the winter. Riding a bike is an easy and efficient way of getting around the cities.


Ireland:


Be an aupair or Nanny in the Republic of Ireland. There's so much history and ancestry to explore and discover in The Emerald Isle. Dublin, vibrant University city of young people built along the River Liffey. Irish pubs, Guiness, the wonderful Irish accent and sense of humour. Land of Celtic history and leprechauns, long before St Patrick arrived. Visit Waterford, Cork, Galway and discover for yourself the enchantment of this country.


Italy:


You do not have to speak Italian to be an aupair in Italy, the home of fashion, design and great shopping – clothes, shoes, home wares, jewellery not to mention fantastic food! There are many wonderful sites to see: the leaning tower of Pisa, Florence, the David statue, Milan – the home of fashion, Rome – ancient ruins and the Vatican just to mention a few! Enjoy the wonderful summer sun or eat roasted chestnuts in the heart of winter!


Spain:


You do not have to speak Spanish to be an aupair in Spain, land of fiestas and siestas, bull-fights, wine, incredible, fresh seafood and olive oil. Visit the wonderful castles, taste the Spanish nougat, experience ancient historical sites. Enjoy the beautiful beaches in the summer and explore the land of Don Quixote.


South Africa:


Become an aupair in sunny South Africa. Experience the friendly warmth of African hospitality in the magnificent beauty of this vibrant country. See wild game in their natural environment in the breath-taking national parks. Explore the multi-culturalism of this exciting country whilst enjoying amazing shopping, open blue skies, barbecues, outdoor sport, huge shopping centres and amazing coastlines.


Switzerland:


You do not have to speak German or French to be an aupair in Switzerland. Experience the majestic Alps and the home of skiing, beautiful lakes, amazing hidden secret beauty of ski lodges and hotels. The home of Swiss banks, cuckoo clocks, Swiss watches and everything precise and perfect. Even their hot chocolate is something special.


United Kingdom:


Be a Mother’s help or Nanny in the United Kingdom. Become an aupair in America, a huge place to visit and explore! Disneyland, The Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, Sunny California, NASA, New York, Broadway, New Orleans to name a few. Watch baseball, basketball, grid iron football, ride the trains and interstate buses. Indulge in cheap food, clothes and wonderful shopping. Friendly easy-going people.
