 Learn Italian in Florence


The home of Michelangelo, Florence is steeped in beauty, history and culture.

Wander through the piazzas, gaze at the amazing Duomo basilica at sunset from the magical Boboli Gardens, or enjoy some authentic Italian fare at the numerous restaurants. With the Tuscan countryside close by, wonderful daytrips are just a heartbeat away!


The School

Centrally located on a quiet street next to the main railway station. It occupies three floors of an elegant 19th century building. It is surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants and shops as well as numerous historic squares and plazas. It is easily accessible by bus. Students can access the internet at nearby cybercafes.
Highlights include:
  • 17 bright classrooms with windows
  • Student lounge
  • Maximum students per class: 12
  • Minimum age: 16
  • One lesson = 50 minutes each

Programs

General Italian

Standard: 20 lessons per week
Super Intensive: 20 group lessons per week plus 10 one-to-one lessons per week

Accommodation

Takes out the hassle and expense of finding your own accommodation, all guest family homes and apartments are of a high standard and within easy reach of the school.
There are three types of accommodation in Florence:
  • Host Family - single or double room with breakfast or half board (breakfast plus dinner).
    Host Family provides all amenities including bedding and towels.

  • Shared Apartment - single or double room in fully equipped shared apartment.
    Shared Apartments are fully equipped with shared bath, toilet, living/dining room, TV and cooking facilities; bedding and towels are provided.

  • Private Apartments - single room in fully equipped apartment.
    Private Apartments have all amenities including fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room, TV and full bathroom; bedding and towels are provided.
Table of Language Course and Accommodation prices (Courses are for a minimum of 2 weeks. Accommodation prices are based on single room and are subject to seasonal fluctuations - please request for double room prices.)

Course prices include lessons, school social activities, accommodation placement service, full orientation upon arrival, placement test, examination fees and certificate upon course completion.
Host Family with Breakfast: from €370 for 2 weeks (min.)
Host Family with Half Board: from €510 for 2 weeks (min.)
Shared Apartment: from €300 for 2 weeks (min.)
Private Apartment: from €900 for 2 weeks (min.)

How to Apply:

Step 1: Choose the course you would like to participate in. If you don't quite see what you are looking for, email us at languages@launchpadaustralia.com and we can help you find a course that suits you.

Step 2: Once you have chosen your course, email us to check availability.

Step 3: Fill out the Application Form and fax to Launchpad Australia on 03 9445 9375. Remember to indicate on the application form your method of paying the deposit. Deposit is required for you to be able to secure your place on the project. Launchpad Australia accept bank cheque, money order or direct deposit.

Step 4: The final balance will be required 90 days prior to your departure from Australia, or if you are departing within 90 days, full payment is required at time of booking.
