 Learn Spanish in Córdoba, Argentina

Argentina holds a unique position among Latin American countries. It has the second-largest landmass in South America, and the makeup of its population is quite different from the rest of the continent. The country's nearly 37,000,000 inhabitants are largely descendant from Spaniards, Italians, Germans and other Europeans. A very small percentage of Argentina's population consists of mestizo and indigenous peoples, but you can find them in the northern Jujuy province amongst fascinating archaeological sites, volcanoes, small Indian villages and nature reserves.

Córdoba, Argentina

Córdoba, founded in 1573, is Argentina's second-largest city with a population of over 2 million. Known as the "colonial capital" of the country - it is home to Argentina's first university and a number of churches and town halls from that era - convenient starting point for traveling. What's more, both the Andes and the Pampas are just a short trip away, providing the ideal geographical setting for skiers and nature lovers alike.
