Art History Abroad offers a unique, fresh-faced approach to studying abroad. Travelling in Italy for six weeks down the peninsula from Venice to Verona, Florence, Siena, Rome and Naples, we make the most of your time away, with a well structured and fabulous on-site programme of art, architecture, literature and fun. Or try a two week "Taster" of Venice, Florence and Rome.
Our brilliant tutors are vibrant, passionate experts from various academic fields and they will iluminate your world. 70% of our students join us because they have not had the opportunity to study art or the history of culture in depth before and this course will give you skills and knowledge to last a lifetime.

Example Tour: 'The Italy Tour'
An eclectic combination of holiday, learning and travel which aims to give students an awesome 2 week experience. Students will have a magical taster of Italian lifestyle, enjoying Italian food, wine and music in the balmy Northern Summer. Spending 5 nights in Venice, 5 nights in Florence and 5 nights in Rome, you will have the opportunity to enjoy some free mornings and afternons to explore and enjoy outings such as summer jazz festivals.
This is definitely NOT your typical 'teacher-student' relationship! Rather, you have the opportunity to explore a fabulous country with like-minded people under the guidance of dynamic and enthusiastic experts who love to show everyone how fabulous Italia really is!
Courses are from two to six weeks long and prices range from $AU1,800 to $AU12,000. For those who have art running in their veins, there is a scholarship available worth $AU4,800. Applicants are asked to submit 2 x 400 word reasoned descriptions: the first a building, painting, sculpture or work of decorative art that you love, the second one that you loathe. The adjudicators look for good and daring arguments, so start getting creative!
